About Us

Circle (NYSE: CRCL) is one of the world's leading internet financial platform companies, building the foundation of a more open, global economy through digital assets, payment applications, and programmable blockchain infrastructure. Circle's platform includes the world's largest regulated stablecoin network anchored by USDC, Circle Payments Network for global money movement, and Arc, an enterprise-grade blockchain designed to become the Economic OS for the internet. Enterprises, financial institutions, and developers use Circle to power trusted, internet-scale financial innovation.

What You'll Be Part Of

Circle is committed to visibility and stability in everything we do. As we grow as an organization, we're expanding into some of the world's strongest jurisdictions. Speed and efficiency are motivators for our success and our employees live by our company values: High Integrity, Future Forward, Multistakeholder, Mindful, and Driven by Excellence. We have built a flexible work environment where new ideas are encouraged and everyone is a stakeholder.

The Role

As a Staff Data Scientist at Circle, you'll work closely with business partners to better understand our products, building measurement frameworks for digital assets products, leveraging data to find opportunities in digital assets product offerings, and enabling better decision-making with data. In this role, you will partner with our Digital Assets team, which is responsible for growing our flagship products (USDC and USYC). Specifically, the team is growing USDC by expanding our banking partnerships, offering new products that increase the utility of USDC (such as our credit and foreign exchange offerings), and through the issuance of new assets via Circle's liquidity, multichain, and settlement infrastructure. This is an opportunity for the right data scientist to impact the operation of our most valuable products.

We are a passionate team with a deeply analytical approach and your work will support our mission to be a world-class company driven by data. If you love going deep on problems across product and modeling, enjoy deriving insights, love to dig deep, have experience improving data products, and are motivated by impacting business, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform strategic analysis, modeling, and research to identify new opportunities to improve our business.
  • Partner with the Digital Assets, Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams by translating the business needs to design and develop core tables, investigate product use, investigate how other Digital Assets products work onchain, and conduct research that will help us build the best-in-class products.
  • Build measurement frameworks to assess the success (or shortcomings) of the product portfolio and inform decision making.
  • Create data visualizations to translate analytic and data science results for broad understanding across the business.
  • Build scalable automation solutions using SQL, dashboards, and other tools to create leverage for yourself and the digital assets team.
  • Occasionally share your results with larger audiences to educate them on the digital assets product and ecosystem.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in data science.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as R or Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and experience applying statistical methods to understand business outcomes and customer behavior.
  • Proven experience in planning and driving analytical and data science projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong XFN collaboration skills and can work with and influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with blockchain data and finance data.
Compensation

Base Pay Range: $195,000 - $257,500
