Job description

Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida is currently seeking a highly-motivated and dependable Concrete Block Machine Operator to join our team at Concrete Block Production Plants in major cities throughout Florida.

The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of block machinery to produce concrete block and building materials in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer demand.

Concrete Block Machine Operators Skills & Abilities

  • General mechanical experience (ex. auto, machinery, heavy equip)

  • Experience operating production machinery and performing plant maintenance; preferred

  • Experience leading small teams; preferred

  • Experience with a Besser V312, preferred

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks with little supervision

  • Full availability required - 24/7 production facility.

Concrete Block Machine Operators Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate block machine to produce concrete block and building materials in an efficient and safe manner

  • Change molds and monitor material levels to meet inventory needs

  • Inspect produced block and building materials for quality standards and inconsistencies

  • Make adjustments to maintain product quality when necessary

  • Lead and motivate team to perform work-stoppage machine repairs with a sense of urgency

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate when required

  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

  • Assist team with plant cleanliness
