The Role
Special Team Member Produce - Your quest for inspiring new food experiences with the gift of FRESH produce begins here! As Dom's Kitchen and Market Special Team Member Produce you will assist the Special Team Captain and Special Team Lead in Produce with a team of Produce professionals committed to sharing with Dom's Kitchen & Market guests the amazing flavors of new culinary adventures that FRESH Produce will deliver! As Special Team Members Produce, you will work beside a dynamic Produce team dedicated to delivering Talk of the Town Guest Service!
Responsibilities
Dom's Kitchen & Market Special Team Members Produce will work together in Produce and support the Special Team Captain and Lead in Produce with total Produce responsibility that merges your love for people - both team members and guests - with operational excellence. You will be:

  • Measured and rewarded by your ability to deliver Talk of the Town Guest Service, drive optimal Produce teams' performance and maintain Produce operations
  • Accountable for the extraordinary experience of your guests
  • Responsible for engaging conversations with guests and ensure each guest receives an extraordinary Talk of the Town guest experience
  • Focused on driving sales through technical expertise, fast paced momentum and innovative merchandising
  • Expected to successfully train and continue development of expertise to enhance the guest experience and be part of the first-class Produce team leading to inspired Produce teamwork creating an inviting atmosphere for guests
  • Challenged daily with Produce team to provide world class FRESH conditions and presentations including Quality of product, In-Stock, In-Code, product rotation, temperature checks, COOL compliance, accurate labeling, scale accuracy
  • Expected to assist with work duties across the Produce department inclusive of prioritizing guest service, assist guests with locating product, breaking down deliveries, culling and crispening of product, stocking tables and cases, building displays, cleaning, posting/monitoring shelf tags/signs for accuracy
  • Accurate disbursement of distressed product to either production room or compost bin
  • Accountable for backroom and cooler logistics including minimal inventory levels, freshness dates and organization of product and supplies
  • Responsible that the high standards of Food Safety and Sanitation are maintained at all times throughout Produce sales floor, cooler and backroom including regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tables, cases and shelves with organization and sanitation of all backrooms, food prep areas and supplies
  • Listening for the Voice of the Guest to identify Produce department trends for guest needs and expectations and counsel with Special Team Captain and/or Lead to integrate findings to deliver value and accelerate growth

Qualifications
  • 1+ years' experience in Produce retail, hospitality or restaurant
  • Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills
  • Strong cognitive skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time
  • Strong sense of team - desire to WIN together with a first-class team!
  • Full Time and Part Time available - Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Overnight
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities regularly: Walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
  • Walking/Standing 90% and sitting 10% of day
  • Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas and/or products
  • Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force often and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures - walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
  • Operating equipment (baler, compactor, power jack, six wheeler, box cutter)
