IDEALFORCE has a Contract-to-Hire position available immediately for a Systems Engineer to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. Job Description

Client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer , with an emphasis on data center operations in support of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Ideal candidate will have direct administrator experience with building, maintaining and optimizing enterprise-class network management systems (NMS) toward continuously improving service availability and reliability. Practical Powershell scripting ability a plus. Operating environment includes but is not limited to Private and Public Cloud infrastructures on VMWare Virtual Windows Servers and Amazon Web Services (AWS), Active Directory, Group Policy, Citrix and Exchange. Additional responsibilities include general data center operations including Windows Server operating system administration/troubleshooting, and data center operations in a medium/large, highly-available enterprise environment. The EIS Team values contributors who are passionate about customer service excellence, efficiency, creativity, and a big picture view of problem solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor (4 yr.) degree, in a technical field, such as engineering or computer science OR equivalent work experience.

Preferred certifications: MCITP, MCSA, MCSE, VCP, VCIX, AWS-CSA Professional, CompTIA Cloud+

Preferred Skills:

Expert (5+ years):

-Network Management System (NMS) administration, including proactive monitoring of network-attached devices, application performance, change detection/handling, configuration management, alerting, dashboard development, trigger-based scripting for automation and self-healing in a large enterprise/NOC environment.

-PowerShell Scripting

Professional (2-5 years):

-Experience working with DOT's and municipalities either designing, implementing, and/or managing Intelligent Transportation Systems.

-Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, report writing and communication skills.

-Windows Server System Administration

-HP Blade Server Hardware

-TCP/IP design and troubleshooting skills in a large, multi-subnet environment

-SAN (both Fiber and iSCSI) administration

-Switch and router administration

-Leading IT projects

-Data Center Infrastructure Management tools

Entry (6-24 months):

-SCCM

-InfoSec guidelines and best practices

-ITIL framework experience

-Cloud instance administration
