Data Center Field Technician
Advanced Crypto Services | Carrollton, Texas | Full-Time
About Us
Advanced Crypto Services (ACS) specializes in repair and maintenance services for Bitcoin mining hardware - the machines that power the global Bitcoin network. We work with some of the largest mining operations in the industry, and our reputation is built on technical excellence and getting the job done right. As we grow, we're looking for experienced technicians who can hit the ground running and grow with us.
About the Role
As a Data Center Field Technician, you'll be a core part of our operations - performing hands-on repair, maintenance, and installation work both in our Carrollton facility and at client data center sites across the country. This role is built for someone who already knows Bitcoin mining hardware, communicates clearly under pressure, and takes ownership of their work.
This is not an entry-level position. We expect you to bring knowledge, professionalism, and a strong work ethic from day one. In return, ACS offers real growth opportunities within a fast-moving company where your contributions are visible and valued.
Field assignments may require travel to data center locations, ranging from a single day to one to two weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of Bitcoin miners and associated equipment
  • Diagnose hardware and firmware issues using diagnostic tools and software, and determine proper solutions
  • Conduct cleaning, inspection, assembly, and disassembly of mining equipment
  • Perform and document pre- and post-repair performance testing
  • Provide clear, professional technical guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Communicate repair status, findings, and recommendations to both internal teams and clients in a timely manner
  • Submit accurate service reports, expense documentation, and technical feedback
  • Support warehouse operations during off-field periods
  • Handle heavy equipment safely (miners can exceed 45 lbs for extended periods)
  • Uphold ACS quality standards, SOPs, and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 1 year of provable, hands-on Bitcoin mining experience - data center operations, mining repair, or running and managing mining hardware at scale
  • Strong communication skills - you must be able to speak clearly with clients on-site, provide detailed updates to the internal team, and document your work accurately
  • Solid troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to lift 45+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
  • Comfortable with travel and flexible scheduling
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and field service workflows

Nice to Have
  • Experience with immersion-cooled mining systems
  • Familiarity with Bitmain, MicroBT, or Canaan hardware platforms
