About the role
We are looking to add a Miner Maintenance Technician 1 to our growing Miner Maintenance Department. As a Miner Maintenance Technician 1, you will be responsible for repairing and troubleshooting Bitcoin miners. This on-site position will directly support our miner maintenance operations at our Rockdale, TX location. The scheduled shift for this role is Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
What you'll be doing
  • Perform basic diagnostic techniques to all miners on-site.
  • Perform basic repair techniques to all miners on-site.
  • Assist in keeping inventory of miners, parts, and tools.
  • Find IP addresses of all new machines that are being installed into shelves.
  • Provide complete information for work orders to be submitted to supervisor.
  • Keep the miner repair room and work area clean and organized.
  • Craft new RJ-45 connections.
  • Be confident when reciting terminology that is relevant in the industry.

What you'll have
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to bring attention clearly and promptly to any major errors in the Data Center that involve the Miner Maintenance team.
  • High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience.
  • Experience with Networking and Computer troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Miner repair/Operator Certifications are a plus.

Physical requirements and work environment
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders and access tight or awkward spaces as required.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and pull, with good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed (50 pounds)
  • Ability to work onsite in a mining or data center environment (heat, noise, etc.)
  • Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures

  • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
  • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
  • Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
