A Bitcoin Developer Live In is a software developer who specializes in building, maintaining, and improving applications or infrastructure related to the Bitcoin blockchain, while residing onsite or within close proximity to the company or client. This role often involves creating wallets, payment systems, or smart contracts, and may require a deep understanding of cryptography and blockchain protocols. Living onsite can facilitate collaboration, faster troubleshooting, and tighter integration with the team or project. The position typically requires strong programming skills, especially in languages like C++, Python, or JavaScript, as well as knowledge of Bitcoin's core technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bitcoin Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Bitcoin Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like C++, Python, or Go, combined with a deep understanding of blockchain technology and cryptographic principles. Familiarity with Bitcoin Core, distributed ledger systems, and relevant APIs or SDKs is typically required, and certifications such as Certified Blockchain Developer can be advantageous. Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and collaboration skills help developers navigate complex codebases and contribute effectively to decentralized projects. These competencies are essential for building secure, innovative solutions and maintaining the integrity of Bitcoin's protocol.

What are the typical collaboration practices for a Bitcoin Developer working in a live-in arrangement?

As a Bitcoin Developer in a live-in role, you'll often collaborate closely with other developers, security experts, and sometimes the product team within a shared living and working environment. This setup encourages real-time communication, rapid problem-solving, and frequent code reviews, which can accelerate project progress but may also require clear boundaries to maintain work-life balance. You'll likely participate in daily stand-ups, pair programming sessions, and occasional late-night troubleshooting, especially when managing live blockchain deployments or addressing urgent security issues. Proactive communication and flexibility are key to thriving in this immersive, team-oriented setting.

Job description

San Francisco, CA · On-site · Full-time Compensation: $150,000–$275,000 + 0.5%–1.0% equity

About the Company

Our client is a pre-seed, design-obsessed startup building an AI-native outbound sales platform — replacing the SDR-and-GTM-engineer stack teams cobble together today from a handful of point tools and a few engineers gluing it together. In its first few months it has grown past $80K MRR, with 50+ venture-backed startups and a growing roster of post–Series A companies running outbound on the platform. It's a small, dense team where the bar for engineering taste, product instinct, and aesthetic quality is very high.

Founded 2025 · 1–10 people (Pre-seed) · Industry: AI Tools

The Role

As a Founding Product Engineer, you'll own the surfaces customers — founders, GTM leaders, sales engineers — live in every day, making a system-of-action that sits on top of every GTM data source (CRMs, enrichment APIs, professional networks, intent signals, website-visitor data) feel like one beautifully designed product rather than a plumbing project.

Tech stack: Next.js, React, Python, FastAPI, Supabase.

Requirements
  • 0–4 years of engineering experience; new grads welcome
  • A quantitative or technical background (data science, CS, industrial engineering, or operations)
  • Comfort communicating with customers and bridging technical and non-technical
  • Full-stack ability across the modern JS/Python stack (Next.js, React, Python, Supabase)
  • A product and operations instinct
  • On-site in San Francisco five days a week
Nice to Haves
  • Prior founder, founding-engineer, or first-few-hire experience at an early-stage startup
  • Engineering taste demonstrated through shipped products at a Linear / Attio / Raycast / Vercel-caliber quality bar
  • A power user of GTM tools (Apollo, Outreach, Clay, Attio, HubSpot) who has actually run outbound, not just built features for sales teams
  • A strong academic background paired with real startup ownership
  • A public portfolio — shipped side projects, an active GitHub showing fast iteration, or writing on product engineering / AI agent UIs
Why Join
  • Founding-level ownership: work directly with the founders, ship to production weekly, and shape what the product becomes
  • Real traction, early: $80K+ MRR in the first few months, 50+ customers, targeting $10M ARR
  • A design-obsessed bar: "Linear-quality B2B SaaS" is the explicit standard
  • Comp and perks: strong base and equity, free lunch and dinner, transport to and from the office, health insurance, and equipment
Details
  • Location — San Francisco, CA
  • Work policy — On-site, 5 days/week
  • Compensation — $150,000–$275,000 + 0.5%–1.0% equity
  • Visa sponsorship — Not available; US citizen or existing work visa required
  • Employment type — Full-time
