Job description

DQ STORE MANAGER
A Dairy Queen (DQ) Store Manager oversees daily operations, including food service, staff management, inventory control, and financial performance, ensuring adherence to brand standards and excellent customer service. Key duties involve leading the team to create positive "fan" experiences, maintaining high cleanliness/safety standards, controlling labor costs, and driving sales.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Manage all kitchen and dining room functions, including opening/closing procedures, to meet quality and service standards.
  • Staff Development: Hire, train, mentor, and schedule team members to build a productive, positive working environment.
  • Customer Experience: Actively ensure high-quality, friendly service, handling customer inquiries and complaints promptly (service recovery).
  • Financial & Inventory Control: Manage COGS (cost of goods sold) and labor costs, conduct inventory counts, order products, and ensure accurate cash management.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and health regulations (PRIDE systems).
  • Marketing: Implement local, regional, and national marketing promotions to increase sales.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 1-3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership, preferably in quick service.
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Attributes: Energetic, accountable, and passionate about the DQ brand.
