Job description

Hamilton Brook Smith & Reynolds, an intellectual property boutique with offices in Boston and Lincoln, Massachusetts, seeks a junior Patent Attorney with a background in Biotechnology or a related discipline. Candidates should have experience with patent drafting and prosecution and have the necessary skills to work on matters in most areas of Biotechnology and related life sciences. A Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related discipline and registration with the USPTO is required. Work experience with pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or general life science patent matters is beneficial.

Successful candidates will have outstanding writing and interpersonal skills, as well as strong academic credentials in technical and legal areas.A J.D. degree from an accredited law school with admission to at least one state bar is required.

At our firm, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, highly respected IP practice.You will build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, advocate on behalf of clients at the leading edge of science and technology, and work in a collaborative team environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 โ€“ $180,000. The actual offered rate will be based on job-related factors, including but not limited to qualifications and experience. This range represents HBSRโ€™s reasonable estimate of starting salary at the time of posting. This position is also eligible for an hours-based bonus.
