Analytical Resource Laboratories (ARL) is a third-party contract laboratory specializing in microbiological and chemical testing of food, cosmetics, and dietary supplements. ARL has been offering analytical testing services for 23 years. We are looking for a team member with a background in analytical chemistry, microbiology, biophysics, or a closely related field, who is highly motivated, has greatdesire to learn, a quick learner, competent, meticulous, tech-savvy with excellent communication and organizational skills,personable, and proactive individual who is willing to wear multiples hats and embrace a "can-do" attitude to join our laboratory.


Our team is seeking a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced and high pressured work environment to join our robust, hardworking, intelligent, responsible, adaptive, positive, accountable, and amazing team!The successful candidate has the drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressured work environment.This is an excellent entry-level position for individuals wholovescience and who wish to gain valuable experience and cultivate industry knowledge and skills in a third-party laboratory industry.


Expected work hours: 2 pm - 7 pm, Mo-Fri


JOB DESCRIPTION:

While working closely with a Team Lead and/or under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the following primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Complete sample preparation and testing in a timely manner, according to approved SOPs and correct techniques.
  • Classify and label samples, according to established protocol.
  • Clean and sterilize laboratory workspace and equipment.
  • Provide support for lab-specific waste management.
  • Maintain proper laboratory records.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.
  • Accountable and responsible for proper laboratory practices.
  • Compliance with ARL standards and policies
  • Perform all duties and projects, as assigned by ARL leadership
  • Comply with ALL ARL workplace policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all GLP, GMP, and ISO regulations as they pertain to the positions functions and duties.
  • Successfully complete all training, including skills and proficiency testing, within required timeframe.
  • Complete special project as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Able to converse fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Able to work within a schedule that allows for testing to be completed and reported on time.
  • Available to work 5 days a week, if required.
  • Available to work weekends.
  • Abide by ARLs drug testing, background check, and drug-free policies.
  • Follow work schedule and attendance/time off requirements.
  • Comply with ARLs values and workplace policies
  • Communicate professionally with team members and leadership to resolve any issues.
  • Contribute to a positive and ethical work environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Follow established and proper procedure for conflict resolution.
  • Able to handle fast-paced, high-pressured work demands with confidence and professionalism.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate should demonstrate the following background, skills, abilities, and qualities, and availability:

  • Currently matriculated in a four-year institution of higher education and majoring in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline
  • General analytical chemistry lab experience required (1 year)
  • Fluency in English a must
  • Must live within 50 miles of location
  • Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of metric system, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation
  • Ability to work in GMP/GLP environment
  • An excellent ability to keep calm under pressure and stay focused to successfully fulfill responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain and build team morale at all times
  • Ability to skillfully and professionally adapt to changing demands
