Job description

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an R&D Lab & Inventory Technician to join their research operations team supporting sample management and laboratory logistics. This is a great opportunity for an early-career laboratory professional with hands-on experience in biological sample handling, inventory management, and research lab operations who is looking to gain experience within a large-scale drug discovery environment. This is a 6-month contract onsite 5 days per week in Worcester, MA.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biology, experience working with biologic materials, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a highly organized lab setting. This role will focus on managing research samples, maintaining inventory systems, supporting lab workflows, and ensuring materials are stored and tracked properly.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Required Skills & Experience
  • Manage and maintain biological simple inventory, including tracking, organization, and storage of materials.
  • Perform sample processing activities including aliquoting and handling biological materials under controlled conditions
  • Maintain and monitor -80°C freezer inventory and storage requirements
  • Support sample receiving, order fulfillment, and shipment coordination
  • Update inventory records and maintain accurate documentation within laboratory databases
  • Assist with laboratory supply management and general lab operations
  • Follow established SOPs and safety procedures for handling biological materials and laboratory waste
  • Troubleshoot basic lab equipment and automation processes as needed
