Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network & End User Support Engineer to join our enterprise IT team in South San Francisco. This role requires a hands-on IT professional who can effectively manage and support enterprise network infrastructure while also providing high-quality end-user technical support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco Meraki environments, network security, and troubleshooting complex IT issues across both infrastructure and desktop support domains.
This is a fully onsite position supporting a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Network Infrastructure & Security.
    • Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
    • Manage and support Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including policy management, VPN connectivity, security rule implementation, and threat prevention features.
    • Administer and maintain Cisco Meraki networking environments, including switches, wireless access points, security appliances, and cloud-based management platforms.
    • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity, security, and performance issues.
    • Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, wireless networks, and remote access solutions.
    • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
    • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
    • Assist with security audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives.
  • End-User Support
    • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for employees across hardware, software, networking, and system-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device, printer, and peripheral issues.
    • Support Microsoft Windows environments, productivity applications, collaboration tools, and user account administration.
    • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup, software deployment, and access provisioning.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining service level expectations.
    • Document support activities, resolutions, and technical procedures within the ticketing system.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve escalated issues and improve user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and end-user environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
  • Experience supporting and managing Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network and connectivity issues.
  • Experience providing direct end-user support in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
