The position is responsible for developing the product and market requirements for a product area within the Thorlabs VA Imaging Systems product portfolio. By working with customers and using knowledge developed through market and application research, Product Managers will be involved in all phases of a product lifecycle. Product managers will be the nexus of information for a particular product or product segment area and be product experts to develop marketing materials, to provide training or provide application support for areas of responsibility with the portfolio. The position will be office based at an appropriate Thorlabs location. Domestic and international travel of up to 25% will be required. • Responsible for developing and supporting product requirements and market requirements for assigned products and product segments. • Conducts market research and analysis to understand and develop products to solve specific life science customer needs. • Works closely with Engineering Teams and Marketing teams to bring newly developed products to market. • Works with the Application team, Engineering teams and Marketing Team to develop application materials. • Supports Sales team with specific product information, application knowledge and with product compatibility. • Actively maintains a high level of knowledge of Microscopy Imaging market (Life Science and others) • Serves as technical expert for the company for both internal and external customers. • Understands competitive landscape and competing products. • Using CRM system (D365) to create and maintain product information. • Assist with customer demos and customer trainings. The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position RequirementsExperience: 3+ years of Product Management experience in the microscopy imaging industry or equivalent directly relevant microscopy experience from academia or the biotechnology industry Education: Bachelors, Master’s, or PhD degree in physics or life science discipline related to microscopy or imaging systems Direct experience with imaging systems and microscopy techniquesStrong lab experience in using/developing microscopesDirect knowledge of advanced microscopy and imaging methods such as multiphoton, confocal or other microscopy techniquesExperience using Thorlabs Imaging Systems productsExperience with In Vivo and Cellular imagingKnowledge of microscopy marketKnowledge of new and upcoming imaging technologyExcellent attention to detailExcellent communication skills and presentation skillsExperience in working in a team environmentFlexibility/adaptability and ability to work effectively in a team-based environmentMust be willing to travel 25% with possible international travel to attend scientific meetings, courses and tradeshows as a Thorlabs representative.The estimated pay range for this role is $95,000 - $ 119,800 annually Thorlabs values its diverse environment and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
