West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns to join our Software discipline and Product Management team within our Technology & Experience (TechEx) Practice. Our team is dedicated to creating, scaling and refining human-centered software and AI products that make a meaningful impact across diverse industries. We are passionate about designing strategies and products that people genuinely enjoy using, and that positively impact their lives.
As a Product Management Consulting Intern, you will play a role in shaping experiences that deliver value, usability, and feasibility to our clients and their customers. You will contribute to a shared understanding across the project spectrum, from high-level business objectives to detailed functionality, supporting product development teams toward continuous improvement across a range of agile methodologies.
In addition to customer strategies and product development, you will gain exposure to advisory work where you'll engage in future-state recommendations and high-level analysis across the software development lifecycle. This work includes conducting data analysis, facilitating workshops, and shadowing interviews to drive informed project outcomes.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in both product development and advisory roles, allowing you to build depth and expertise while contributing to projects that drive meaningful success for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in foundational Agile/traditional UX product development practices, including creating user stories and artifacts, refining backlogs, and defining product requirements
  • Contribute to discovery work by conducting competitive research, observing user interviews, supporting technical analysis, and coordinating research activities
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) efforts by providing input on acceptance criteria and process improvement, ensuring alignment with goals and outcomes
  • Assist in crafting clear narratives using storytelling principles, and surface industry trends for product and experience opportunities and recommendations to accelerate or improve speed to market and insight quality, especially as it relates to AI and Generative AI
  • Help create and implement digital offerings like customer portals, intranet sites, mobile apps, modern integration and intelligent agents, contributing to journey and persona mapping
  • Support team in creating concise status and progress reporting and communication
  • Analyze user engagement and/or market/persona segment data to identify trends and insights that inform actionable recommendations
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028
  • You will be asked to confirm your expected graduation month and year at the offer stage and prior to beginning your internship
  • We do request & review official transcripts from your school prior to the start of our internship program
  • If your expected graduation date falls outside of this range or changes, you are not eligible for this internship
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)
  • Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs
