Job Description

At BD, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Territory Manager to join our dynamic Biotechnology and Medical Devices team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for providing field-level support to healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians. You will work closely with our field sales and marketing teams to execute surgical case support and professional training plans, ultimately contributing to the achievement of our annual sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with field sales teams to plan and execute field-level customer training and technical support for clinical cases

  • Collaborate with sales management to prioritize targeted customers, cases, and training events

  • Support the development of regional physician proctors to facilitate formal and informal training activities

  • Conduct training and in-servicing for hospital surgery staff and support personnel

  • Contribute to the development of regional centers of excellence and assist Marketing with the execution of territory physician training seminars

  • Provide support for regional marketing events, conventions, and symposia

  • Maintain equipment, advertising, and promotional materials in a presentable and orderly manner

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including completing paperwork thoroughly and on time, maintaining accurate account records, and utilizing goal-setting tools

  • Effectively manage productive selling time, aiming for a minimum of three operating room visits per day and four surgeon contacts per day

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of product prices, discounts, and availability based on quality and quantity

  • Maintain an adequate supply of promotional tools, such as samples, brochures, and videos

  • Possess and continuously develop in-depth product knowledge to conduct effective in-service education for hospitals

  • Stay within the assigned expense budget

  • Effectively utilize selling presentations and standard responses to objections

  • Leverage opportunities such as nurses' lectures, journal club meetings, local seminars, resident lectures, hospital displays, and evaluation committee product presentations to promote BD's offerings

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Experience

  • 1+ years of general sales experience required.

  • Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales teams

Skills

  • Willingness to relocate to fill an open Territory Manager position

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel (approximately 80% travel required)

  • Possession and maintenance of a valid state-issued driver's license and adherence to BD's auto safety standard
