Job description

Requirements Must have:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • 10 years of experience applying AI/ML, automation, or analytics within R&D or the life sciences sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering production-ready solutions with modern agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with data science environments, MLOps practices, scripting, and automation technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Convert AI/ML and automation strategies into actionable plans and projects across R&D teams.
  • Lead the creation of applications and agents using modern agentic tooling to advance business objectives.
  • Promote strong governance for AI/ML and automation, including ethical application, validation, and MLOps.
  • Partner with R&D stakeholders, IT, and external groups such as the Pistoia Alliance to surface and rank high-value use cases.
  • Drive user adoption through training, community development such as guilds, and sharing success stories.
  • Align solutions with enterprise data platforms and established workflows to support smooth integration.
  • Track KPIs and contribute to compliance records and audit preparedness.
