The role spans from early design through production, with strong involvement seeing designs through installation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support R&D efforts across new and existing product lines
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation: drawings, BOMs, part numbers, and change records
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales team members as part of the development team - contributing designs, not directing the team
  • Follow projects through production and into the install phase, supporting manufacturing and field issues as they arise
  • Manage own workload and deliverables with strong organization and follow-through, keeping projects on schedule
  • Bring creative problem-solving to design challenges across product lines

  • Sheet metal design experience
  • Working knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through on assigned work
  • Creative approach to design problem-solving
  • Basic project management skills - able to track and manage own deliverables within a larger team structure
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and sales

Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM
  • Experience with outdoor or electronics enclosures
  • Experience seeing a design through fabrication, production, and field installation
  • Familiarity with ERP systems

Salary Description
$55,000 to $75,000
