Job Summary:
Axle Informatics is a bioscience and information technology company that offers advancements in translational research, biomedical informatics, and data science applications to research centers and healthcare organizations around the globe. They are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to work with clients across the federal space, including the NIH, focusing on designing and building a cloud-native solution for data analysis and exploration.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Build scalable, reliable, and flexible applications in TypeScript using NodeJS and Angular 9+
โ€ข Design, implement, and/or use RESTful web services
โ€ข Implement modern and responsive UI for the web and variety of devices
โ€ข Participate in agile software development, prototyping, testing, and code reviews with a small team of developers
โ€ข Write robust unit and end-to-end tests
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics or other related field (years of work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
โ€ข 3+ years experience working with TypeScript/JavaScript
โ€ข 3+ years experience as a full-stack developer
โ€ข Experience with Jupyter notebooks and open-source application and dashboard projects (i.e., Shiny, Streamlit, Solara, etc...)
โ€ข Experience with the following: Node.js, Angular 19+, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Containers and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
โ€ข Familiarity with VCS such as Git
โ€ข Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks
โ€ข Experience with using and leveraging GenAI technologies (i.e., CursorAI, Cline, Windsurf)
โ€ข Critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
โ€ข Clear, concise communication
โ€ข Technical writing ability
โ€ข Familiarity working in an Agile environment
