Your Role:

The Digital Service Specialist is a key customer-facing position that represents the Vantive brand in clinical and hospital environments. This position is responsible for assigned territory, providing on-site service and support, traveling to support digital integrations, software interoperability, and multi-platform implementations, ensuring Vantive solutions connect seamlessly with other technologies available in the market. Digital Specialists must be passionate about learning new technical knowledge, embracing challenges, and adapting quickly to evolving digital innovations. They are hands-on problem solvers, interacting with customers, applying attention to detail, working autonomously, variation in their work, and traveling. This position focuses on providing positive customer experience, strong communication, and ensuring all service needs are met in a quality and timely manner. May also perform installation, repair, preventative maintenance, training, and ongoing support across Vantive's portfolio of medical devices and digital solutions.

This position will report to the Supervisor of Acute and Digital Services providing technical expertise with multi-platform hardware & software implementations & interoperability project pre and post go-live across Canada.

What you'll be doing:

  • Document all service activities, including repairs, part replacements, and maintenance performed, in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair on Vantive medical devices, including inspection, calibration and mechanical adjustments.

  • Diagnose and replace defective parts, components, to restore full equipment functionality. Collaborate with biomedical engineering staff at customer sites to support operational continuity.

  • Ensure proper handling of delicate electro-mechanical components, adhering to safety protocols and hospital regulations.

  • Effectively manage and schedule travel to stakeholder and clinical facilities to provide technical support, technical training, and attend meetings or trainings.

  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies, and procedures, including any department specific requirements.

  • Demonstrate supervisory behavior that supports Vantive's Core Values & Mission Statement and drives employee engagement.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum College diploma in IT / Networking or Electronics

  • Major Subjects: IT / Networking; Biomedical Engineering; Electronics

  • Minimum 3+ years of combined experience in biomedical equipment service and healthcare IT / Networking

  • Ability to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays; willingness to drive long distances or fly as required.

  • Hands-on experience integrating medical devices with IT systems and troubleshooting connectivity.

  • Proven experience supporting networked medical devices in hospital environment.

  • Knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, WAN, firewalls, switching, and routing infrastructure.

  • Prior experience working with healthcare data communication protocols (e.g.HL7, FHIR, CCD, CCDA, HISP, Direct Messaging, and/or HIE platforms).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain technical concepts to customers and teams.

  • Strong adaptability, cross functional collaboration, and problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Experience in biomedical engineering practices, including installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of electromechanical and digital components on medical devices.

  • Ability to diagnose and replace defective parts, perform mechanical adjustments, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

  • Physical ability to perform the role, including standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Valid driver's license required.

At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000 to $85,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
