Biomedical Engineering Technologist (7a-330p) Kingsport, TN

Holston Valley Medical Center | Facility Operations & Support | Full Time

Description

Job Description: Summary:

The BMET III will provide maintenance and technical support function for medical and scientific instrumentation and for the users of this instrumentation by troubleshooting, testing and repairing biomedical equipment in order to ensure a high level of safe patient care. This individual will perform supervisory functions of assigned technicians. Additionally, this individual will coordinate major equipment installations and assists in preplanning and device evaluations. The Tech will serve as lead technician for assigned facility.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in biomedical technology, electronics or related technical/healthcare fields or completion of US military Biomedical Equipment Specialist program is required.

10 years of biomedical experience or AAMI Biomedical Certification with 5 years of experience required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid and active Biomedical Equipment Technician certification required for individuals with less than 10 years experience

Work Requirements: Shift: Day On Call: Yes No Travel Required: Local Travel Shift Details: 7a-330p City/State: Kingsport, TN
