Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing surgical workflows, DEXTER is easily moved, quickly set up, and adaptable to operating rooms of any size. The system is commercially available in the United States and Europe.

Distalmotion is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a U.S. office in Cleveland, Ohio.

Position Overview:

The Associate Director, Strategic Accounts plays a critical role in driving the commercial success and adoption of the Dexter robotic surgical system across key hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).

Working closely with the VP of Strategic Accounts, this role supports the development and execution of strategic account plans, manages priority customer relationships, and coordinates cross-functional initiatives to ensure strong customer engagement and sustainable commercial growth. The position requires strong commercial acumen, relationship-building capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems to advance the adoption of robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Support the execution of the strategic sales plan across priority health systems and strategic accounts.
  • Assist in achieving quarterly and annual sales targets through effective account management and opportunity development.
  • Drive execution of territory and account plans, ensuring timely follow-up on leads, proposals, and tender processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support from clinical, marketing, and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales and implementation process.

Strategic Account Development

  • Build and strengthen relationships with hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
  • Support the expansion of existing strategic accounts and the development of emerging accounts within assigned regions.
  • Serve as a key liaison for assigned accounts, supporting contract execution, implementation activities, and ongoing customer engagement.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and alignment with account growth strategies.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification

  • Monitor developments within assigned markets and accounts to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Gather competitive insights and customer feedback through field engagement.
  • Share market intelligence with leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and commercial planning.

Commercial Operations & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer interactions, pipeline development, and sales progress.
  • Support forecasting activities and sales reporting to help track performance against key commercial objectives.
  • Assist leadership in monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for performance improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Field Enablement

  • Partner with marketing, medical, and clinical education teams to align messaging, campaigns, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Support the development and deployment of sales enablement materials for strategic accounts.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams to ensure coordinated execution of account strategies.

Industry Events & Market Engagement

  • Participate in industry conferences, congresses, and targeted customer events to support awareness and adoption of Dexter.
  • Assist with the organization and execution of product demonstrations and surgeon engagement activities.
  • Represent Distalmotion professionally in the market to strengthen brand presence and credibility.

Ethical and Compliant Conduct

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with company policies, applicable industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain transparency and professionalism in all customer and partner interactions.

Requirements

Location: near mayor airport

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in medical device sales, healthcare technology, or strategic account management.
  • Experience with capital equipment sales, surgical robotics, or complex medical technologies preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), or Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
  • Proven ability to support complex sales cycles and engage multiple healthcare stakeholders.
