Job description

Job Title: Field Engineer Intern
Purpose: The purpose of the 3G Companies Internship Program is to provide a training and educational opportunity for selected college students. The overall objective of this program is to develop well-trained individuals to prepare them for their future career as eventual field or project leaders. In addition to training, the internship program is an effort to retain potential long-term employees whose experience and Core Values match those of 3G Companies.

Job Duties:
  • Participate and document Safety Walks
  • Complete jobsite progress photos and reports
  • Document foremen meeting minutes
  • Review and learn about 6-week schedule from the superintendent
  • Update client of job progress via keeping the information on the Client app up to date
  • Assist with RFIs (Request for Information), ASIs (Architects Supplemental Instruction), PRs (Proposal Request), submittals, closeouts and other documentation
  • Attend Pre-punch, punch list items & punch list walk with architect
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with various duties
  • Promote and enforce safety policies
  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
  • Follow Graham Core Processes, including jobsite checklists
  • Maintain great relationships with owners/clients, architects, trade partners, and other industry representatives
  • Attend job site tour visits to learn about various types of Construction projects
  • Create and present an intern project with other interns
  • Complete intern educational projects (ex. Estimating assignments)
  • Attend company-wide events, such as the safety meeting, quarterly retreats, and the State of the Company meeting.
  • All other duties as assigned

What knowledge, skills, and abilities you'll bring:
  • Obtaining a bachelor's (preferred) or associate degree in construction management/related degree
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary

Legal Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass post-offer employment testing
  • Ability to pass a post-offer drug test
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
  • Ability to work within one of 3G Companies' operational areas as assigned
