What We Are Looking For

We're hiring a full-time entry-level Biomedical Engineer to join our Virtual Surgical Planning department, where you'll prepare planning files by analyzing medical imaging, simulating surgical procedures, and developing cephalometric analyses. You'll also ensure product quality through inspection of 3D printed patient-specific medical devices, modification of surgical splints, and meticulous data organization. This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

 What You Will Do
  • Interface directly with healthcare professionals, staff, and sales representatives to perform surgical planning via phone, emails and web meetings.
  • Use CAD software to manipulate 3D files and combine multiple datasets for surgical planning.
  • Manage multiple priorities and communicate closely with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain detailed records of each case in accordance with the company's Quality Management System.
  • View patient CT and MRI studies in DICOM format and identify anatomies of interest.
  • Perform inspection of 3D printed surgical guides for quality and clinical effectiveness.
  • Use hand tools to buff, clean, or modify the surgical guides as needed.
What You Will Bring
  • BS in Biomedical, Mechanical or other relevant technical field required.
  • Experience: Transferable skills from projects, internships, academic work or previous work relevant to the role.
  • Experience collaborating or interacting with medical professionals
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers
