Job description

In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, going to hospital to perform software upgrade for automated medication dispensing devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, configuration, and updates for medical devices, software, and networking systems.
  • Conduct routine checks to verify proper functionality after setup.
  • Troubleshoot device and network issues, resolving technical problems independently or escalating complex cases.
  • Follow calibration protocols for servicing equipment
  • Educate healthcare staff on device utilization and software functionality.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital vendor credentialing requirements.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel extensively for field-based service assignments.
  • Associate degree in biomedical, IT, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of technical experience required; 3+ years in a field technician role preferred.
  • Experience in IT support, electronics, biomedical engineering, or pharmacy technology is a plus.
  • Must maintain personal parts inventory, sourcing from approved vendors.

Assignments and Shifts

  • Assignment based position requiring open availability Monday-Friday; work occurs 28-32 hours per week, plus travel time.
  • Position requires some nights and weekends based on customer needs.
  • Travel is regional, national, and local, with work scheduled during weekdays.
  • Duties may require compliance with hospital vaccine and credentialing requirements.
