Job description


Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Bio-Med Technician provides safety checks, repairs, calibration and preventive maintenance on diagnostic, therapeutic or monitoring equipment. The Biomed Tech is responsible for providing assistance to clerical staff and operators of bio-medical equipment. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Bio-Medical equipment repairs required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates (AA) degree in Electronic Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology or Military Training in Bio-Medical Technology preferred.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) by the International Certification Commission (ICC) preferred.
