Biomarker Operations information

What is biomarker operations?

Biomarker operations refer to the management and coordination of all activities related to biomarkers in clinical trials and research studies. This includes planning, collection, processing, analysis, and documentation of biological samples to ensure high-quality, reliable data. Professionals in biomarker operations work closely with clinical, laboratory, and data management teams to ensure compliance with protocols and regulations. Their work is essential for supporting drug development and personalized medicine initiatives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in biomarker operations?

To thrive in Biomarker Operations, you need a strong background in life sciences or related fields, experience with clinical research processes, and an understanding of biomarker development. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data analysis tools, and regulatory compliance frameworks such as GCP is typically required. Excellent project management, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills are vital for coordinating between laboratories, clinical teams, and external partners. These competencies ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of biomarker studies, which are critical for drug development and clinical decision-making.

What are some typical challenges faced in biomarker operations and how can they be managed?

Professionals in Biomarker Operations often encounter challenges such as coordinating complex sample logistics, ensuring data integrity across multiple sites, and managing tight timelines in clinical trials. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams like clinical operations, laboratory staff, and data management are essential to address these issues. Utilizing robust project management tools and maintaining clear documentation can help streamline processes and minimize errors, making it easier to navigate the dynamic and regulated environment of biomarker studies.

Job description

Everlywell is a digital health company pioneering the next generation of biomarker intelligence-combining AI-powered technology with human insight to deliver personalized, actionable health answers. We transform complex biomarker data into life-changing insights-seamlessly integrating advanced diagnostics, virtual care, and patient engagement to reshape how and where health happens.
Over the past decade, Everlywell has delivered close to 1 billion personalized health insights, transforming care for 60 million people and powering hundreds of enterprise partners. In 2025, an estimated 1 in 94 U.S. adults received an Everlywell test, solidifying our spot as the #1 at-home testing company in the country. Fueled by AI and built for scale, we're breaking down barriers, closing care gaps, and unlocking a more connected healthcare experience that is smarter, faster, and more personalized.

The Intelligence Platform turns health data into value - AI-powered recommendations for consumers, dashboards and insights for enterprise clients, and the analytics foundation that powers personalization across everything we do. You'll work alongside a strong AI engineering team to ship intelligent products that users and clients actually pay for.

This is a Senior PM role focused on execution and delivery. You'll translate AI and data capabilities into shipped products, not define the AI strategy from scratch.
You'll be responsible for:
  • AI-powered recommendations and personalization features
  • Enterprise client dashboards and reporting products
  • Data operations - eligibility files, client data pipelines, data quality
  • Analytics and insights that demonstrate value to clients
Why this role is exciting:
  • AI that ships: you'll work with a capable ML team to build real products, not prototypes
  • Client impact: enterprise clients will use and pay for what you build
  • Data products at scale: millions of records, real business decisions
  • Growing space: health data intelligence is increasingly what differentiates platforms
What success looks like in the first year:
  • Ship AI-powered features that reach production and demonstrate measurable impact
  • Own and improve enterprise dashboards and reporting products
  • Streamline data operations to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
  • Build strong partnerships with AI engineering, client success, and analytics teams
  • Establish clear metrics for intelligence product value
What we're looking for;
  • 5 +  years of product management experienceAt least 2 years working on data products, analytics, or AI/ML features
  • Experience shipping ML-powered features to production (not just experimentation)
  • Comfort discussing technical trade-offs with data scientists and ML engineers
  • Experience with B2B data products - dashboards, reporting, client-facing analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into decisions
  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Even better if you have:
  • Healthcare or healthtech background
  • Experience with recommendation systems or personalization
  • Background in enterprise SaaS or client-facing data products
  • Startup or scale-up experience
You'll thrive here if:
  • You believe AI products should solve real problems, not impress demos
  • You can bridge the gap between data science and business stakeholders
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and imperfect information
  • You care about shipping, not just strategizing
  • You want to build data products that clients genuinely value
