Join Our Team in Rockville, MD: Biomanufacturing Associate Opportunity

Are you ready to play a crucial role in the field of gene therapy manufacturing? Join our team in Rockville, MD, where you will contribute to the production and release of quality products in a regulated environment. This position offers the chance to apply your expertise in biological, bioprocess, and manufacturing principles to ensure timely and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to SOPs, cGMP, GLP, Quality, and Safety requirements.
  • Execute upstream activities, including media aliquot, buffer preparation, and bioreactor setup.
  • Prepare, edit, and complete quality documents while ensuring data integrity.
  • Document and report process variances/deviations in real time.
  • Troubleshoot routine issues and propose approved improvements.
  • Comply with cleanroom and aseptic procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma with high grades in science and 3 years of related experience, or A.S. with 2.5 years, or B.S. in biology/life sciences, bioengineering, or related discipline with 1.5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Upstream cGMP operations.
  • Ability to pass/maintain aseptic/gowning qualifications & media fill activities.
  • Work in a cleanroom for at least 4 hours/day.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid GDP skills.
Preferences
  • Prior cell/gene therapy experience in a technical role within a cGMP or biotech manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to become a qualified LEAN trainer.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Teams, and databases; willingness to learn PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
