Job description

ABOUT MITHRL

We imagine a world where new medicines reach patients in months, not years, and where scientific breakthroughs happen at the speed of thought.

Mithrl is building the world’s first commercially available AI Co-Scientist. It is a discovery engine that transforms messy biological data into insights in minutes. Scientists ask questions in natural language, and Mithrl responds with real analysis, novel targets, hypotheses, and patent-ready reports.

Our traction speaks for itself:

  • 12X year-over-year revenue growth

  • Trusted by leading biotechs and big pharma across three continents

  • Driving real breakthroughs from target discovery to patient outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Head of Product Marketing to define the narrative, positioning, and go to market strategy for Mithrl. This is a high visibility, high impact leadership role that requires deep scientific understanding and proven product marketing experience. A PhD is required because you will be translating complex discovery science and AI driven workflows into simple, compelling stories that resonate with research leaders, computational biologists, and executive buyers.

You will shape how the world understands Mithrl, why it matters, and why it is fundamentally changing the way biology is programmed. You will own messaging, launches, scientific content, cross functional alignment, and the campaigns that drive awareness and adoption. You will partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and applications teams to turn scientific capabilities into clear commercial value.

If you are a scientist turned storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a data-driven marketer who loves building from first principles, this is a rare opportunity to help define and lead a category.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the product narrative, positioning, and messaging for the Mithrl AI Co-Scientist

  • Translate complex scientific workflows into clear value propositions for R&D and computational buyers

  • Lead product launches, end to end, with defined success metrics and measurable outcomes

  • Build persona definitions, ICPs, and buyer journey maps for biotech and pharma customers

  • Create compelling scientific and commercial content including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and narratives that highlight discovery impact

  • Partner with sales to develop decks, one pagers, battlecards, and objection handling materials

  • Work with product and engineering to align roadmap and capabilities with GTM needs

  • Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns with measurable KPIs that drive pipeline creation and product adoption

  • Build competitive intelligence and market landscapes that guide both product and GTM strategy

  • Interface directly with prospects and users, synthesizing customer insights and converting them into messaging, content themes, and campaign directions

  • Represent Mithrl at conferences, industry events, and external thought leadership opportunities

  • Establish product marketing as a core strategic function as part of Marketing for the company and scale it as we grow

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, or a closely related field

  • 5 or more years of experience in product marketing at a tech bio, life sciences software, scientific platform, or AI company

  • Demonstrated success launching products or major features with measurable impact on pipeline, adoption, or revenue

  • Proven ability to craft narratives that resonate with scientific and technical audiences

  • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity without losing accuracy

  • Experience partnering closely with sales, customer success, product, and engineering

  • Comfort working in a fast moving, high ownership startup environment

  • A portfolio of content, launch materials, or campaigns that shows creativity and commercial impact

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing AI enabled scientific tools or computational biology platforms

  • Experience selling into enterprise biotech or pharma environments

  • Familiarity with discovery workflows, omics analysis, or preclinical development

  • Experience with demand generation or growth marketing

  • Prior leadership or mentorship experience within marketing teams

WHAT YOU WILL LOVE AT MITHRL

  • You will build the story that drives scientific adoption and commercial growth

  • You will have significant ownership over GTM strategy and product communication

  • Team: Join a tight-knit, talent-dense team of engineers, scientists, and builders

  • Culture: We value consistency, clarity, and hard work. We solve hard problems through focused daily execution

  • Speed: We ship fast (2x/week) and improve continuously based on real user feedback

  • Location: Beautiful SF office with a high-energy, in-person culture

  • Benefits: Comprehensive PPO health coverage through Anthem (medical, dental, and vision) + 401(k) with top-tier plans

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

Compensation Range: $150K - $200K
