Laboratory Support III
About the Opportunity
Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to serve as a Laboratory Support Associate III within the Lab Operations Department of Meadowhawk Biolabs, Inc. at our Hayward, CA location. This position provides applicants with a great opportunity to learn about Laboratory and Vivarium operations and help shape the group to allow Meadowhawk to grow. Our ideal candidate is driven, curious, and hardworking with a genuine interest in learning and working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This is a full-time on-site position.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Working under close direction, and in compliance with defined procedures, perform a wide variety of technical laboratory operational tasks and activities, including but not limited to:
• Study material and samples receipt, storage management, and disposition
• Consumables receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory management
• Biological and chemical waste collection, storage, and disposal
• Metrology organization, documentation and scheduling
• Maintain organization of laboratory and vivarium operational areas
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent and with at least four years of experience, preferably in the Life Sciences segment. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.
Skills:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Adapts readily, willingly, and effectively to changes in assignments and priorities.
• Able to multitask and independently manage time to maximize productivity.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with Smartsheets is a plus

In addition to the attributes described above, the ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, open-minded, self-aware, flexible and objective in its evaluation, persistent and optimistic in the face of challenges and uncertainty, and willing to make decisions and take ownership for assigned responsibilities.
Compensation:
The starting target salary for this position is between $69,800 - $89,500 per year. The specific rate for this position may vary and will be based upon factors including, but not limited to the individual's experience, education, and skills. In addition to wages, Meadowhawk Biolabs provides a full benefits package upon hire date.
