Overview

Cox Automotive – USA has a Senior Marketing Manager (Marketing Sr Manager) in the Marketing family. The role is hybrid (remote part of the week) with in-office requirement in Atlanta two days per week. Travel: 25%. Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $111,500.00 – $185,900.00, with potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation. This position supports Cox Automotive's consumer marketing portfolio across Autotrader, KBB, and multiple business units within each brand.

What You’ll Do
  • Own end-to-end marketing strategy for assigned business units in collaboration with Director, Marketing Strategy; maintain knowledge of the full portfolio.
  • Partner with product, B2B marketing, sales, and planning directors to align marketing strategy with business objectives.
  • Develop strategic plans balancing short-term wins with long-term growth; navigate dual-sided marketplace dynamics serving consumers, dealers, and business objectives.
  • Lead strategic workstreams for major initiatives including product launches, competitive responses, partnership programs, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Create comprehensive strategic briefs for media, creative, analytics, and lifecycle teams, including audience insights, competitive landscape, messaging, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with media agencies and cross-functional teams to develop integrated campaigns across brand media, performance marketing, social, content, CRM/lifecycle, and partnerships.
  • Brief agencies with clear strategic direction reflecting full-funnel objectives and multi-stakeholder dynamics; evaluate media recommendations against business objectives.
  • Build strong agency relationships with accountability for business results.
  • Stakeholder management and business partnering with business unit leaders, product teams, B2B marketing and sales, and cross-functional teams; participate in business planning and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proactively identify business needs and opportunities, delivering strategic solutions spanning acquisition and retention.

Who You Are / Qualifications
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 8 years of marketing strategy, brand strategy, planning, or related experience. Alternative combinations are acceptable (e.g., master’s degree with 6 years; Ph.D. with 3 years; or 12 years of related experience).
  • Proven experience developing integrated marketing strategies across brand, performance, and lifecycle channels.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams (product, B2B, analytics, creative, media, CRM) and in complex environments (marketplace, multi-sided platforms, B2B2C, automotive).
  • Agency experience (planning/strategy) or client-side brand/marketing strategy is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing strategy across brand, performance, content, social, and lifecycle channels.
  • Experience with digital marketing, e-commerce, online transactions, or marketplace business models.
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to synthesize insights and provide clear, actionable recommendations; systems thinking; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Collaborative, relationship-oriented, and able to influence without direct authority; travel up to 25%.
  • Preferred: Degree in brand management, marketing or related field.
