- Mentor and supervise graduate students working at CSCAR @ ISR.
Required Qualifications*
- A graduate degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Survey Methodology, or Mathematics.
- Training and demonstrated experience in public health research, biomedical research, bioinformatics, and working with health-related data (including genetic data and biosocial databases).
- A solid foundation in the theory of statistical data analysis.
- Teaching and consulting experience at the university level.
- Excellent computing skills, including facility with two or more computing environments commonly used for data analysis (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Julia, Stata, Matlab), programming experience in one or more common programming languages (e.g. C or Python), and facility with advanced computing environments, including clusters and distributed data and computing infrastructure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate advanced technical concepts clearly and effectively via oral presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
- Strong background and interest in research design, and an interest in the broader goals of research in diverse fields.
