Responsibilities
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Culinary Guest Associate to provide direct support for all kitchen and dining functions. The role encompasses food preparation, timely meal service (using portion control), and dishwashing. A primary focus is on maintaining facility sanitation and safety through cleaning work areas and properly handling waste. Additionally, the Associate assists with inventory, stocking supplies, and ensures meal distribution complies with dietary guidelines.
What You'll Do
  • Serve all meals promptly using proper portion control.
  • Assist the cook with food and snack preparation, maintaining sanitation standards.
  • Set up, deliver, and retrieve trays and food carts; ensure diet trays are checked for accuracy.
  • Perform all daily cleaning and dishwashing procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and dry kitchen/dining environment; handle waste disposal.
  • Inventory, stock, and organize all food and supplies.
  • Follow all food policies and make only authorized food substitutions.
  • Support the Director/Dietitian in implementing changes.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • Must possess or be able to immediately obtain a Food Handler's Card.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a customer service or food service role. (Senior-living experience preferred).
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to project a friendly and professional image.
  • Strong team player who can multitask, show initiative (self-identify work), and foster collaboration across all departments.
  • Ability to follow policies, successfully handle cash, and utilize resources in a cost-effective and safe manner.
