Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Aurora, IL, 60504

Duration: 11 Months

Shift: 2nd shift - Mon - Friday 2-10pm

Pay Rate: $23-26/hr + 5% differential

Job Summary

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

The Maintenance Technician provides service functions throughout facilities. In addition to completing assigned duties, continuous improvement effort relating to cost, quality, and delivery is expected.

  • Contacting Production supervisors, Model Shop associates, Manufacturing Engineering, or other departments as needed to resolve equipment issues.
  • Performing scheduled preventative inspections and maintenance on facilities and machines.
  • Repairing HVAC, compressed air, and manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Installing new equipment per manufacturers recommendations.
  • Installing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
  • Performing light to moderate carpentry and construction functions.
  • Performing courier services for mail, special documents, materials, and associate commuting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
  • 1-2 years related Maintenance experience and/or training.
  • Following, understanding, and ensuring compliance with required company and department SPIs, policies and procedures.
  • Determining proper job assignments using the maintenance system.
  • Maintaining service records on equipment safely perform biohazard clean up.
  • Recommending measures or changes to improve equipment performance, safety enhancement, energy management, and facility performance.
  • Flexibility in personal schedule to meet facility needs outside normal working hours.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Many duties require walking, standing, bending, or climbing for extended periods.
  • Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control training and associated immunizations.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license for local deliveries.
