Position description
Professional Research Series in Biochemistry (Open Search)
The Department of Biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside anticipates openings for appointments in the Professional Research Series.
Professional Research engage in independent research equivalent to that required for the Professor series and not for appointees whose duties are limited to making significant and creative contributions to a research project or to providing technical assistance to a research activity. Appointees with Professional Research titles do not have teaching responsibilities.
Professional Researchers must demonstrate continuous and effective engagement in independent and creative research activity of high quality and significance, equivalent to that expected of the Professor series.
Candidates should demonstrate qualifications, accomplishments, Professional competence, University and/or public service, and activity equivalent to those for the Professor series.
Appointments may be made on a full-time, part-time, or without-salary basis. Initial appointments are typically for one year, with the possibility of renewal. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The current base pay range for this position is $96,700 to $257,100.
