Job description

As a Laboratory Technician working onsite in our production support QC Labs in Delaware, OH, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory operations in quality assurance and research settings. In the QC team, you will validate raw material and finished good samples, identify result abnormalities, work to mitigate risk of defective material, and aid in the support of our continuous improvement and project initiatives. Laboratory technicians will be agile learners, results driven, and collaborative in their work within the QC team and across multiple functional groups.

*The shift for this position is 3rd Shift: 11 pm to 7 am – Sunday night to Friday morning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and troubleshoot batch QC result abnormalities and take action as able
• Test all production samples as required – following SOPs as defined, performing test methods accurately, and recording all test results
• Support project and continuous improvement work as needed to help maintain project timelines
• Understand customer requirements and determine adjustments for batches as needed
• Collaborate with other QC teams, production, and technical groups to independently disposition batches
• Maintain all laboratory equipment and perform required calibrations as assigned
• Utilize immediate production and project needs to prioritize daily activities
• Maintain lab ancillary inventory, daily material stocking needs, and contribute to 6S
• Understand, support, and maintain Delaware’s Quality Management System requirements
• Support Departmental X matrix action items as assigned
• Completion of development plans in entirety
• Execution of RCA tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering preferred
• 1 year of academic or professional laboratory experience and proven ability to accurately apply laboratory methods
• Ability to work night shift (3rd shift)
• Ability to work weekends as dictated by business need
• Ability to work additional overtime as determined by business
