We investigate enzyme mechanisms, at structural, biochemical and cellular levels using human and yeast cell models and eukaryotic enzyme orthologs. Specifically, we focus on the DNA repair enzyme Tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase I (Tdp1) and cytosolic sulfotransferases (SULTs). The technician responsibilities will include biochemical and cellular assays, such as protein isolation/purification, cellular toxicity, growth assays and mitochondrial assays.
