Interns work under the supervision of professionals to conduct experiments, analyze biological samples, and contribute to ongoing research projects. These internships are typically offered by universities, research institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical firms. The experience gained helps interns develop technical skills, enhance their resumes, and explore potential career paths in biochemistry and related fields.

What types of projects or tasks are typically assigned during a biochemistry internship?

As a Biochemistry Intern, you can expect to assist with various laboratory experiments such as sample preparation, running assays, and performing data analysis, often under the guidance of experienced researchers. Interns may also be responsible for maintaining lab equipment, documenting results in lab notebooks, and participating in group meetings to discuss findings. The scope of work can vary based on the specific organization, but the experience typically combines hands-on laboratory practice with exposure to scientific problem-solving and collaboration. This hands-on involvement builds valuable technical and teamwork skills, essential for future roles in research or industry.
