Job Description

Feed all birds in the houses, both in the grower area and brooder area

Check all cages for mortality and operation of watering nipples

Sweep the work areas, run litter belts when needed, and clean drop pans every other day

Help with movement of birds, from hatchers to brooder cages, from brooder cages to grower cages, and from grower cages out to other destinations

Check and turn eggs in the egg building, record temperatures and humidity and be sure they are in range.

Check the high and low temperatures in the brooder room, and grower room and record

Keep up with paperwork on incubator machines, activities in grower and brooder room

Check on the incubator and hatching machines and wash and disinfect when needed

Candle and transfer eggs from the incubators to hatching machines when needed

Change out boot dips when needed

Arm and disarm security systems when needed

Report any problems to supervisors

Follow showering and bio-security practices to prevent contaminations in the houses

Help with power washing and disinfecting hatching trays, incubator flats, and brooder cages

Help with movement of feed and supplies on the farm


Hours:

Monday and Tuesday- 3:00 am until done

All other days- 5:00 am until done
