Job Title: NC BIO TECH - Research Assistant

Department: Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences

Supervisor: Comfort A. Boateng

Starting Rate of Pay: $10

Length of Time: April 2025 - April 6th, 2026

Job Description

Preferred expertise in synthesis and analysis of organic compounds.

Job Location/ Hours Required

The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Congdon Building, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry Research Lab 4078. This position requires 5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesis and analysis of compounds, e.g., chemical reaction monitoring, separation, purification, and characterization procedures of the research proposal.
  • Lab maintenance.

Required Qualifications

General or Organic Chemistry with lab

  • Must have a minimum, undergraduate, pre-pharmacy or pharmacy student experience in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, or another related field.
