RN - Infusion

Job Title: RN - Infusion

Profession: Registered Nurse

Specialty: Infusion

Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Hours

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in oncology/infusion setting

License: Required

Certifications: BLS, Chemo/Bio certification required

Must-Have: Administration of anti-neoplastic agents

Port access and IV start skills

Knowledge of Chemo/Immunotherapy side effects and management

Description: The RN - Infusion will work in an outpatient clinic focused on hematology and oncology. The unit features infusion chairs and provider/exam rooms. The average patient census is 125 per day. Patient ratios will never exceed 1:4. The role includes providing care to all types of cancer patients, specifically adults. Support within the department includes leadership, RNs, LPNs, MAs, and MDs. Lab and radiology services are on site. The department utilizes EMR systems for documentation. There is no floating to other units required. The unit culture is team-oriented. Scrub color is royal blue.
