Job description

About Inductive Bio
At Inductive Bio we're tackling the challenge of making drug discovery more efficient. Scientists spend countless hours combining data, expertise, and intuition to create new molecules that are effective, safe, and work well in the human body. It's a slow, complex process, and the patients are the ones left waiting. At Inductive Bio, we're building an intuitive, collaborative platform, powered by state-of-the-art AI to help accelerate this process.
Our platform is already being used on dozens of active drug discovery programs, and adoption is rapidly growing. We are backed by leading investors at the intersection of technology and biotechnology, and our team includes world-class technology and drug discovery experts.
We're now launching a new lab in Woburn, MA, and are looking for a motivated chemistry undergraduate or recent graduate to join us for a 6 month internship as we build it out. You'll train alongside experienced chemists and help us develop new approaches to scaling chemistry through automation and standardized workflows.
What You'll Do
  • Learn from experienced chemists: hands-on training in laboratory safety, best practices, and synthetic chemistry techniques
  • Master a set of standardized chemistry reactions: learn the protocols and workflows used in our lab
  • Run experiments independently: follow detailed reaction "recipes," including measuring reagents, mixing, heating, cooling, and preparing samples for analysis
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation: process samples and support experimental workflows.
  • Generate high-quality experimental data: carefully document observations and results with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Contribute to a first-of-its-kind chemistry platform: help us test how AI and standardized workflows can accelerate drug discovery
Who you are:
  • Recently completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment through coursework or undergraduate research
  • Curious, eager to learn, and excited to gain hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow written procedures accurately and safely
  • Excited to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment building new technology for drug discovery
Working at Inductive
At Inductive Bio, we know that the people on the team are what make us great. This internship offers hands-on laboratory experience, close mentorship from experienced chemists and engineers, and the chance to help build a new chemistry platform from the ground up at a startup tackling some of the biggest challenges in drug discovery. We are a passionate, kind, and mature team.
