Job description

The Shipper is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing outgoing freight and packages to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This role involves coordinating shipments, completing required documentation, and working closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal departments.

Shipper will be working with a small group of warehouse operators to complete/pick products for customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate warehouse equipment, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Occasional deliveries to our other location using a straight truck will also be required. The ideal candidate is highly motivated; detail oriented and has a high work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping
  • Prepare and package products for shipment according to company and customer specifications.
  • Create and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents for international shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions in the system.
Receiving
  • Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the appropriate department.
  • Accurately log received goods into the inventory system.
  • Distribute received items to the appropriate departments or storage locations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in shipping of freight and packages
  • Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of shipping software (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
