Overview
Epstein is offering a Co-Op Opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer Intern seeking an enthusiastic and motivated student to join our MEP engineering team. As a co-op, you will assist with a variety of engineering tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience working alongside skilled engineers. You will collaborate with other members of the design team to contribute to the design of innovative and technical solutions in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes. Proficiency with BIM and Revit is a plus. You will have the opportunity to support the design of power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, while developing your understanding of building design and coordination.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Pursing a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in project work (internships, co-op programs, or academic projects) within an A/E, A/E/C, or consulting engineering firm is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and general building codes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • REVIT experience and working knowledge of discipline specific software packages such as Visual Lighting is preferred

At the time of this posting, the anticipated pay rate for this position is $18 - $20 per hour commensurate with the experience of the candidate. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the individual's education, qualifications and experience.
Interns are eligible to participate in Epstein Employee Stock Ownership Plan on the first of the month after hire.
