Job Summary:

Job Title: BIM/Revit Designer*

Location: San Jose


We are seeking a skilled BIM/Revit Designer to join our Northern California practice. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 in-office days per week. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting or leading Revit projects, supporting digital delivery on cutting-edge transportation projects.


*This position may be filled at the BIM/Revit Designer or Senior BIM/Revit Designer level, depending on experience and demonstrated capability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support BIM/Revit projects, including all aspects of modeling, clash detection, and compliance
  • Create and maintain accurate, detailed 3D Revit models.
  • Work effectively in an Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment on multidisciplinary Revit models.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project meetings and support digital delivery initiatives.
  • Review and interpret electrical markups provided by engineers.
  • Model electrical equipment, including but not limited to, conduits, trays, switchgear, and develop custom Revit families.
  • Update and refine 3D Revit models based on written or verbal instructions from engineers.
  • Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure deliverables meet client requirements and project standards.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM model development throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company-specific BIM protocols.
  • Implement best practices for Revit modeling to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineers and drafters to integrate design changes into BIM models.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless BIM integration in workflows.
  • Output engineering drawings and apply project title block information

Minimum qualifications by level:

  • BIM/Revit Designer: Associate degree and 3+ years of Revit experience supporting multidisciplinary BIM projects (ACC/BIM 360 environment preferred).
  • Senior BIM/Revit Designer: Bachelor's Degree and 7-10+ years of Revit/BIM experience, including leading coordination, model QA/QC, and implementing BIM standards.


Salary

$85,000 – $140,000 depending on experience and level.

Typical ranges by level:

  • BIM/Revit Designer: $85,000 - $115,000
  • Senior BIM/Revit Designer: $110,000 - $140,000
