Essential Skills for the Billing Specialist Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team at The Baton Rouge Clinic. This in person role is essential in managing medical billing claims and ensuring accurate insurance collections, contributing directly to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services. Requires at least 2 years in working medical billing claims.
Responsibilities
  • Process and manage medical billing for various payers (Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid).
  • Resolving outstanding medical insurance claims by ways of research and appeals.
  • Ensure accuracy in billing by reviewing medical records, documentation and payer policies.
  • Handle insurance medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in billing practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
