As an Oil and Gas Specialist, you'll be managing customer invoicing for local Oil and Gas accounts. You will be key in reconciling internal and external systems to ensure all outstanding invoices have been submitted to the customer. You will work directly with customers to handle any disputes, purchase orders and any other accounting charge code issues. This position requires you to act as a liaison between customers, credit offices and branches to resolve billing issues.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for invoicing/e-invoicing customers and processing of invoices through accounting systems and external customer portals (if applicable, work with sales representatives to obtain customer required hard-copy signatures to upload to customer portals)

  • Research and understand customer policies and procedures with respect to billing processes

  • Responsible for building and maintaining a customer specific process from order receipt all the way through payment and funds application

  • Prepare a detailed tracking system to track purchase order values, invoiced amounts and accounts receivable

  • Work with multiple contacts including purchasing, accounts payable and on-site contractors

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of Customer Invoicing, Accounts Receivable and Collection experience

  • Basic math skills and Microsoft Office computer skills

  • Intermediate excel skills a must; advanced preferred

  • Ability to complete complex account reconciliations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and work well collaboratively within own group and cross functionally to achieve goals

  • Deal constructively with conflict and respond professionally to customers and team members

  • Detail oriented, with a high sense of urgency

  • Demonstrate effective negotiation techniques with customers

  • Web-Based Workflow Solution Software experience preferred
