Job description

Payment Posting Manager

Remedial Pro is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payment Posting Manager to lead daily payment posting operations within a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle environment. This role is responsible for overseeing payment posting accuracy, staff performance, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with Billing, Collections, Credentialing, and Accounting teams.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience, thrives in high-volume environments, and has a deep understanding of healthcare payment posting workflows and insurance reimbursement processes. Behavioral health or substance abuse billing experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily payment posting operations and workflows
  • Oversee posting of ERA/EFT payments, paper checks, virtual credit cards (VCC), and patient payments
  • Monitor unapplied cash, aging, and posting delays to ensure timely resolution
  • Reconcile deposits against bank reports, ERA files, and internal systems
  • Identify payment discrepancies, trends in underpayments, and posting issues
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and productivity reviews for payment posting staff
  • Train, mentor, and manage onshore and offshore payment posting teams
  • Develop and improve workflows, SOPs, and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Credentialing, and Accounting departments to resolve payment-related issues
  • Generate reports and analyze payment posting performance metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 5+ years of medical payment posting experience
  • 2+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicaid, EOBs, denials, reconciliations, and revenue cycle processes
  • Experience working in high-volume healthcare payment posting environments
  • Behavioral health or substance abuse billing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with CollaborateMD, Kipu, ERA/EFT platforms, and Excel reporting preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
