Job description

Exciting opportunity for a bilingual school psychologist to make a meaningful impact supporting a 6th-grade student in a dynamic learning environment. This on-site, contract role involves delivering comprehensive learning and psychological services near Paterson, NJ. Use your expertise and fluency in both Hebrew and English to foster a positive educational experience and help students thrive.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Valid certification as a School Psychologist
  • Proven experience in school settings, especially supporting elementary or middle school students
  • Bilingual fluency in Hebrew and English required
  • Strong knowledge in learning and psychological assessments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate academic, learning, and psychological needs of a 6th-grade student
  • Develop and implement individualized strategies to support student success
  • Deliver culturally responsive and bilingual services, communicating effectively in Hebrew and English
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and related service providers
  • Consult and provide recommendations for educational programming and behavioral interventions
