Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Bike Technician. As a Bike Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and preparing bicycles to ensure a safe, high-quality riding experience for guests. 

What you will be doing:    

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, this role supports resort operations by delivering reliable equipment, exceptional service standards, and a seamless outdoor recreation experience. 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services 
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, safety and service standards 
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair a fleet of Devinci and Trek bicycles, including mountain, road and e-bikes  
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely, high-quality repairs and tune-ups  
  • Prepare bikes for daily guest use, ensuring safety and optimal performance  
  • Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate reorders as needed  
  • Maintain a clean, organized workshop and adhere to safety standards  
  • Assist guests with basic bike fitting, adjustments, and usage guidance  
  • Support rental operations and collaborate with recreation and guest services teams to ensure a positive user experience  
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:  

  • Previous experience as a bike technician or in bicycle repair (professional or advanced hobbyist), with Devinci and Trek brands an asset   
  • Strong knowledge of bike components, maintenance techniques, and repair tools  
  • Familiarity with -- systems is an asset  
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety  
  • Customer service mindset with strong communication skills  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor-oriented environment  
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., bike mechanic certification) are an asset 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 
  • Highly responsible & reliable 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
