Job description

Title: Bike Builder

Reports To: Service Manager

Hours Required: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Alternative Work Week (10 hours/4 Days a Week)

Department: Bike Build

Located in Riverside, we are an online retailer of all things bike – mountain, road, e-bike, you name it. Our product offering makes for a unique work environment as there isn’t a warehouse like ours in the area. Many of our team members are avid riders, and while it isn’t a requirement for the job, you just might end up on a bike. You can expect an easy-going, welcoming and flexible atmosphere with good people.

Our Bike Build team is made up of Production Associates and Bike Builders who work together to get our customers their dream bike.  Our Bike Builders assemble and prepare all types of bikes to be shipped to customers. Our Productions Associates support the team in the packing and shipping of these bikes and with the basic assembly of components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build, tune and prepare bikes for shipping.
  • Support the development of new procedures and processes related to bike builds
  • Help support picking, packing, down stocking, manifesting, kitting and warehouse special projects when needed
  • Promote a clean, efficient and organized work environment by maintaining bike build area, tool inventory, and packaging supplies  
  • Demonstrate teamwork to achieve common goals for all Jenson USA departments
  • Meet or exceeds daily productivity standards
  • Quality Check all bikes before shipping

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bicycle knowledge and expertise to perform repairs on modern, high-end bicycles including suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, and electronic shifting
  • PC and Microsoft Office savvy
  • Ability to work an 10-hour shift standing up
  • Ability to lift/move 30-70 lbs. regularly throughout shift
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to invest in personal growth through on-the-job training and education
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Bicycle mechanic trade school or bike shop experience is a plus
  • Prior warehouse experience a plus
