Camp Horizons/Big Shots SAC Assistants (Approx. 20 positions)

Location:

Kennedy Elementary 

Hours: 

6:30am - 6:00pm - Hours will vary during this time; Monday- Friday, with opportunity to work up to 40 hours a week

Employment Dates:

June 8th, 2026 - August 21, 2026

Pay rate: 

$15.30/ for non-contracted, not benefit eligible

**Are you energetic, creative, passionate about working with children? Join our Camp Horizons/Big Shot summer programming as a School-Age Care Assistant! You will play a vital role in providing a safe,, and inclusive environment for elementary students during the summer. Whether you are a student looking for experience or a professional wanting to make an impact, we want to meet YOU!

Job Duties: 

  • Supervision and helping implement activities; such as crafts, games, and outdoor activities.
  • Build positive relationships and support children's social and emotional growth through clear expectations.
  • Assist with daily routines; including snack time, check-ins, and sanitizing areas, and toys as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age

Experience: 

  • Previous experience working with children in formal or informal setting

Skills: 

  • Strong communication, flexibility and a positive attitude.
