About This Job
Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Auction Clerk, where you play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient auction operations. You contribute directly to a positive experience for our customers and support the seamless flow of administrative tasks. This position offers an opportunity to be at the heart of our auction events, providing essential support that keeps everything running effectively.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs accurate and timely data entry for auction vehicles, bidder registrations, and sales records.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, assisting bidders, and resolving issues with a helpful attitude.
  • Manages cash handling and payment processing for auction transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Maintains meticulous records and files, demonstrating strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with team members and customers, utilizing excellent communication skills.
  • Offers administrative support to auction staff, including preparing documents, organizing materials, and assisting with event setup and breakdown.
  • Ensures compliance with established procedures for all clerical and financial transactions.
  • Contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or customer service capacity.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency in data entry and general computer applications.
  • Applies strong customer service principles to interact positively with clients.
  • Possesses knowledge of cash handling and payment processing procedures.
  • Exhibits exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Utilizes strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain orderly records.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse individuals.
  • Provides efficient administrative support using standard office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an auction or similar fast-paced event environment.
  • Familiarity with auction management software or systems.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
  • Works primarily in an office or auction event setting.
  • Sits, stands, and walks for extended periods during auction events.
  • Lifts and moves light office supplies or auction materials up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Adapts to a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on auction demands.
